Fiber-optic data network in Bogoroditsk  with population of 30,000 people

The network scheme

Data Transmission Network (DTN) in Bogoroditsk city  includes fiber-optic communication line (FOCL), a communication node (CN) and  aggregation  nodes (AN). Fiber-optic network is composed of 23 logical rings. Each of the logical ring was made by single-mode optical cable and have a total length more than 30km. Currently the network has more than 160 public access points (PAP).

Network structure: 3-tier network with ring topology

I tier - Backbone. The level of the core network (CN). One node communication. The information bit rate with   Rostelecom's  network is 10 Gb /sec.

II tier - Distribution. The level of aggregation consists from three aggregation nodes (AN): North, East and West. The information bit rate among the nodes is 1.25 Gb /sec.

III tier - Access. The level of public access points (PAP). Number of subscribers is 3000. The information bit rate is up to 100 Mb /sec.

MASTERYS Green Power 15kVA  UPS of  Socomec and diesel-generator of Coelmo Generators are installed for smooth operation of CN .

Equipment of  AN (located  in vandal-proof cabinets 19 "6U):

• Maipu Switch -  MyPower SM3400-28GEF x 1
• For continuous operation   APC Smart-UPS RT 1000VA UPS is installed.

Equipment of PAP (located  in vandal-proof cabinets 19 "6U):

• MyPower S3026G-A-AC x 1 (24-port 10/100M), or
• MyPower S3100-52TC-AC x 1 (48-port 10/100М)
